Hello, I am Nathan Smith, Superintendent of Hart County Schools. It is my privilege to lead this amazing school district. I am committed to student/faculty/staff safety first and foremost. Next, students must have exemplary, rigorous instruction that educates the whole child. I want to "grow" students to be productive citizens of our community, county, and region. I am focused on improving communication, not only to parents, students, faculty, and staff; but also, to the community. I desire to work diligently with community, county, and regional stakeholders to contribute to the support of student learning, and in turn, provide a talented workforce for our area. In addition, I am dedicated to facilitating building and district leaders' continuous growth in having student safety and student learning at the forefront of all decisions. Hart County Schools is seen as one entity, not six; thus; the hashtag #onehartky. With the opening of the new high school and the anticipation of the opening of Green River College and Career Academy, it is a great time to be part of Hart County Schools ---creating the future one student at a time.
