College Algebra is a dual-credit one semester class in which students meeting the criteria may receive high school and college credit for the course. To enroll in this course, a student must be a junior or senior, have taken Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and some other course beyond Algebra II, scored at least 18 on the math portion of the ACT and pass the WKU placement exam with at least a score of 14 out of 25. The cost of the course is around $200 and students must purchase the online module through Pearson MyLab. The cost of the online module is approximately $90 and includes a digital copy of the textbook being used. The majority of the course work is through the online module and students are expected to complete online assignments outside of class. Quizzes and tests are only given under direct supervision of the teacher and may be either online or pencil and paper tests.
