Habit 7: Sharpening The Saw

The LeGrande Faculty and their families recently spent a day together at a staff cookout.  We roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, went on a hayride, and the kids had fun playing on the playground.  Habit 7 is important because, as the Leader in Me program demonstrates, to maintain and increase effectiveness, we must renew ourselves in body, heart, mind, and soul.  Have you take the opportunity to "sharpen your saw" lately?

Whistle Stop Toys

Roy Henson, with Whistle Stop Toys returned to LeGrande this year with his collection of old toys.  He brought toys such as thaumatropes, rolling hoops, game of graces, spinning tops, catapults, and much more!  He explained where each toy or game originated, how it was played, and then he let the students enjoy each game for themselves!  We always look forward to his visit at our school!

Fall Festival Success!

LeGrande School would like to send out a huge "ThAnK YoU" to all those who helped make the Fall Festival a success!  We raised $12,575.00 for PTA, and all the kids had a great time playing games, singing karaoke, dunking 8th graders in the dunking booth, taking silly pictures in the photo booth, and cake-walking the night away.  Thank you, as well, to everyone who donated items to the auction, or contributed to classroom baskets.  We appreciate all of our PTA members, parents, community leaders, and all those who came out to support our school!
