LeGrande 6th Grade - Perfect Attendance

As of Friday, November 21st, our LeGrande 6th Grade Class has had perfect attendance for 6 days in a row!  Every 6th grade student was at school for the entire day from Thursday, November 13th through Friday, November 21st.  Great job, 6th grade class!  You currently lead the rest of the school with your perfect attendance percentage!  We are proud of you!  Keep up the good work!

LeGrande Students at the 2014 KYA Conference

LeGrande students recently attended the 2014 KYA Conference in Lexington, Kentucky.

Congratulations to Garrett Pippin for winning Outstanding Parliamentarian!  Way to go, Garrett!

LeGrande Christmas Program

Mr. Rexroat is busy planning and preparing for the annual LeGrande Christmas Program.  The program is set for Monday, December 15th at 6:30.  The theme this year is "Holiday Road Trip."  Look for more infomation to come home soon!  We look forward to seeing all of our LeGrande families at this event!

November Leaders of the Month

November Leaders of the Month for our school are Anna Beth Scott (not pictured), Blayne Quesenberry, Bryson Huff, Isaac Hensley, Zachary Sloan, Beth Jones, Haley Sturgeon, Whitney Gedda, Seqoiya Curry, and Keaton Trent (not pictured).  Students are selected by their teachers and peers based on their demonstration of The 7 Habits, from the Leader in Me Program.  Congratulations to these students.  Keep up the great work!

Habit 7: Sharpening The Saw

The LeGrande Faculty and their families recently spent a day together at a staff cookout.  We roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, went on a hayride, and the kids had fun playing on the playground.  Habit 7 is important because, as the Leader in Me program demonstrates, to maintain and increase effectiveness, we must renew ourselves in body, heart, mind, and soul.  Have you take the opportunity to "sharpen your saw" lately?

Whistle Stop Toys

Roy Henson, with Whistle Stop Toys returned to LeGrande this year with his collection of old toys.  He brought toys such as thaumatropes, rolling hoops, game of graces, spinning tops, catapults, and much more!  He explained where each toy or game originated, how it was played, and then he let the students enjoy each game for themselves!  We always look forward to his visit at our school!

The Leader in Me

LeGrande is a Leader in Me school.  Do you know what that means?  Click here for more information, and check out our Leader in Me Photo Gallery for pictures of our students showing leadership throughout the school year!
