Did you forget to bring your library book home over our loooong weekend? Did you already read everything you brought home with you? Either way, this might be the perfect opportunity to use a mobile device (Apple or Android) or even your computer to read an ebook!

 


LeGrande has over 200 ebooks to choose from for ALL grade levels with most of the current Kentucky Bluegrass Award nominees available NOW! Books may be downloaded for offline reading, so you don't need constant internet access to enjoy these great titles at home or on-the-go!

KY Author Leigh Anne Florence to Visit LeGrande

KY Author Leigh Anne Florence and her wacky wiener dog friends will be visiting LeGrande on Wednesday, February 18th for a school-wide assembly and writing workshop. However, due to weather cancellations, Mrs. Florence's visit will be rescheduled for a date in March. LeGrande FPS Wins Regional Championship!

LeGrande's middle school Future Problem Solving team took 1st place at the 2015 Kentucky Association for Academic Competition's Regional tournament. They will advance to the state competition to be held in Louisville, KY at the Galt House on Saturday, March 14th. Team members are Maddie Russell, Seqoiya Curry, Katie Heath, Haley Lewis, McKenzie Forbes and Lynzee Burd.


Primary Canned Food Drive

Primary Students recently held a canned food drive to collect donations for our school's Helping Hands office.  More than 100 cans were collected.  Thanks to everyone who donated to the service project!  The cans will be distributed as needed throughout the community.  


Yearbooks are on sale now!

Yearbook forms were sent home with students.  If you need an additional form, you may print this one off, or pick one up in the office at school.  Our 2014-2015 Yearbook Staff has been working hard to create another great yearbook this year, so you won't want to miss it!


January Leaders of the Month

Pictured below are January's Leaders of the Month. They were Madison Spann, Natalie Jones, Tucker McKinney, Emily Russell, Dillon Burd, Harley King, Hunter Humphrey, Haley Lewis, Scarlett Wilson, and Alyssa Poynter.  Students are selected by the teachers and peers based on their use of The 7 Habits, as learned through the school's Leaders in Me program.  Congratulations to these students!


Division of Conservation Art & Writing Contest Winners

Students pictured below were the recipients of the Division of Conservation Art and Writing Contest. For the school level writing contest winners, 1st place was Maddie Russell, 2nd place was Elizabeth Jones, and 3rd place was Lynzee Burd.  For the school level art contest, 1st place was Connor Spann, 2nd place was Tatum Holderman, and 3rd place was Kaydence Dennis.  1st place art and writing pieces will go on to the district contest.  Congratulations to these winners!


Athletic Awards

Boys and Girls Ball Players and Cheerleaders were recently treated to a lunch at Colton's Steakhouse, and were presented medals at Morning Meeting.  LeGrande had a great ball season, and we are proud of all of our athletes!
