At his one year old checkup, J.T. Scrogham’s pediatrician recommended that J.T.’s parents take him to an eye specialist. His mom, Kristy says the initial diagnosis was a shock. They were told their son has X-linked juvenile retinoschisis (XLRS). Thanks to funding from the WHAS Crusade for Children, the school is able to provide special keyboards and programming designed specifically for someone with sight issues.
Since 1994, Hart County Schools have received more than $500,000 in Crusade funding.
